Afternoon gents,

Last month my beloved accord sport sustained a couple of sizable dents to the wing. My friendly neighbourhood bodyshop man reckons the cheapest fix would be to get a used colourmatched wing (seen on ebay). My question is, has any of you guys had any experience in refitting one of these or is it best left to the bodyshop? - i can see at least 2 of the bolts are hidden behind other fixtures...

TIA guys

Rob.

Guessing its front wing, usually bolted on, but no exprienece myself, Have a look at the ESM that will give you detailed guide.

Sorry Exec, yea it is front wing near side...I'll check out the ESM.
Cheers,
Rob.

Depending how critical you are, you very rarely get a good match on a car if that age due to the differing history of the two cars.

I know someone who tried that on a 2000 Porsche 911 and it looks horrendous. I'd have the existing wing repaired and blended.

Just in case you do try it yourself...

3 bolts along the top of the wing in the engine bay.
1 bolt underneath where the bumper meets the wing.
1 bolt underneath the a-pillar, it's at the top and you can see it when you open the door.
1 bolt at the bottom hidden underneath the sideskirt.

So it'll be half the bumper off, archliner off and then sideskirt off before you can swap the wing. Hope that helps!
