Does anybody know if you can remove the red lens surrounding the foglamp bulb? For purely aesthetic reasons I'd like my fog light and reverse light to match and if that red thingy came out the light cluster then they would. But obviously I'd need to replace the clear fog bulb with a red one if it can be removed.

Not entirely sure but i think the chaps on here have done the mod by ordering a light lense from maybe the USA version of the car which i think is called a TSX, i think this gives the look your after. Somebody will be able to advise you on this as im not 100% because i drive a 6th GEN accord. ;)

Im not entirely sure is this will be legal someone hear will clarifie this.

when I was in Poland last time I bought reverse light from LHD model, so now I have both lights the same and with LED bulbs I still have red fog and white reverse, I think it's easier mod to do ;-)

If legality is an issue why can I drive a euro r? (No rear fog)

Is it different for japanese imports?

Reading this it sounds like I'm being snippy, but I'm not :) just genuinely curious!

Your car if in the UK would be a MOT failure as it has to have at the very least one working rear fog light.

I had a imported prelude many moons ago and I got round the issue by installing a fog light bulb in the rear cluster as there was actually a spare hole for one. Most of the other imported preludes had a nasty bolt on fog light hanging from the bottom of the bumper which really spoiled the look of the car.

It's a 100 percent MOT failure though not to have one.

Neil's right , see here and here

Exceptions for rear fog lights .......

"A vehicle having a maximum speed not exceeding 25 mph;

A vehicle first used before 1st April 1986 being an agricultural vehicle or a works truck;

A vehicle first used before 1st April 1980;

A vehicle having an overall width which does not exceed 1300 mm. "

Well that sucks!

I have my NCT (national car test, irish equivalent of the MOT) next month so just did some research.

Seems here if it wasn't factory fitted it's not a requirement! Score!

Eh, guys - I wasn't suggesting running with no fog lights. What I was thinking of was having the fog light lense the same as the reverse light, but with a red fog bulb in (to make it legal).
