Failed MOT for excessive play in front N/S lower balljoint. Took the knuckle right off and the ball joint is mega loose.

Thing is, I can't seem to find a replacement ball joint? Any suggestions?

I did order a cheap and cheerful one from ECP but it turned out to be far too small

Surely this can be replaced without having to fork out for an entire new knuckle?

Cheers!

Excellent, thanks for the help skhell.

Would have ordered from there but I need the parts pronto so I can get it back in for a partial retest. Used the part numbers and found UK based seller so should have it on Tue. Saved it into the bookmarks for future though!

Car failed MOT on 10 points;

4 indicators weren't orange enough - replaced
Both headlights were clouded up - not putting out a pattern - G3 rubbing compound and the polisher machine sorted that
Rear N/S drop link excessive play - replaced
Front N/S lower ball joint excessive play - in progress
Front O/S upper ball joint excessive play - replaced arm
Front brakes imbalanced - pads and discs have loads of life so chanced it with changing the calliper slider pins, doubtful though so might need to rebuild the callipers

To top it off, track rod end wouldn't loosen so I've knackered the rubber on that ball joint too so that's needing replacing...

Could have been much worse though!

Out of interest how many miles has you Accord done?
Just over 95k

Think our MOT is a lot stricter than your warrant of fitness when it comes to things like ball joints though. Also wear out a lot quicker due to our climate and the state of our roads...

***uming you have had the cam belt done you should be good for another 95k now.
I have been lurking on a few UK Land Rover forums and I am starting to realise just how evil the road salt is.
