This morning whilst reversing into a space at the train station my front off side (drivers) wheel started making a horrible grinding sound. When I drove it back home this evening the grinding noise seemed to have disappeared, until further into the journey when going left it seemed to return (round corners / roundabouts etc). It sounded like perhaps a stone was caught in between the disk and the caliper. However, when I got home I parked up on the kerb (as usual) so the car was at an angle, got out and heard the grinding creaking noise as I shut the door. I then noticed I could make the noise just by rocking the car back and forth.

Apologies for the quality, but recorded a video here - https://youtu.be/azkUcBq6N-w

Anyone got any ideas what this rather depressing noise is? (although I appreciate if you close your eyes you could imagine you're going for it with your missus!) :)

not my missus, she don't sound like a donkey

sounds like a stone to me, but I wouldn't put money on it at Ladbrokes

As it creaks when you get out the car, it's quite possibly your tie rod ends. If it's making that much noise, you probably want to get them looked at.
