Honda Accord 2.2 Ex
Hello Guys,

I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience of changing the fuel filter on a Honda Accord 2004 2.2 Cdti. I did the service over the weekend and managed to do everything but really struggled with the fuel filter and gave up in the end.

If anyone could provide me with instructions or help me out then it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

check out the DIY section its all covered in there.

As Andy said check out the diy section there are step by step guides for facelift and pre facelift accords.

Thanks guys... Just found the DIY section and found it very helpful. Only if I had seen it before attempting the service myself.

Looking at the fuel filter change instructions and seems too much trouble. I dont think I will be able to do it on my own. So think I will just have to pay someone to do it for me. :(

Its a bit tricky but if you have small hands its easer.I must admit i got Honda to do mine and they charged me £36 labour which wasn't to bad.

An articulated adapter for your socket set makes a world of difference.

I agree with Brett easier Jus to take it to stealers or a competent independent garage and let them do it

Zish as long as you can get the 10mm bolts on the side of the bracket undone... it's plain sailing after that.

Even I managed it in a reasonable time.

Next time I reckon I'll do it in half the time.

Right tools and patience you will be okay mate.

Fahad, Dan and Monks - Thanks for the motivation.

I think I will give it a go over the weekend and let you guys know how it goes.

If anyone feels like giving me a hand and is local to Leicester then let me know.

Many thanks all.

Btw very good website, very useful stuff on here. I will definitely be passing on a good word.

Good luck Zish... With CJM's post and the right tools it is really a case of taking your time - and a good work light is always handy. B)
