garage / mechanic recommendation pls

Hi,

My 06 plate prefacelift diesel accord (80K mileage) has developed a fault with the VSA light coming on, a few days ago. I took it in to local Honda dealership in Chiswick and they diagnosed the Module is faulty and needs replacing, quoted circa £2000

I am thinking of getting a repair done with either BBA reman or ECU testing. Any advice on which one to go for ?

Also, does anyone know of a reliable indepedent garage in West London / North west London area to carry out the work

Not sure on the VSA unit but with regards to the garages

I use PAW (performance autoworks) in guildford
Honda specialist

I have used these people alot for my Prelude, they also changed my fuel filter on the accord
A trust worthy garage, i always go to these people.
Well known in the prelude scene and known for high quality work.

Also you can try

Hond-R - honda specialist based in obingdon

or Japex based in kings langley (jap specialist)- haven't tried them but had a chat with stuart the owner and seems like a great guy to deal with

I'd recommend maz at hond r aswell. Very trust worthy decent honda speciest

I cannot help with recommendations, but is it not worthwhile having a good Honda garage resource on the site. I know that my nearest Honda dealer is 20 miles away, but they aren't particularly great, IMO. And it messes with my head that i live reasonably close to Brackley and only about 50 miles away from Swindon and yet no independant Honda specialists anywhere in my locality.
