Hi chaps whilst i finally figured out what my rattle was at 2000 rpm i have came across my last problem i need to sort, only recently and now and then my Accord Type R makes a horrible vibration when moving off from 1st, and that's it noise goes, has anyone came across this problem before ? any help appreciated chaps
hi bud it is pre facelift , clutch does not slip at all nor can i smell it.its a horrible vibration noise and feeling through pedals. i will try pulling away in third and see how i go , many thanks gav
The vibration is only there when going away, while you are working with the clutch?
Could be a faulty engine mount.
Also, are the balance shafts properly aligned?
Engine mounts will be a good thing to check, but i'd have thought if it were the mounts then the vibration would happen more often.
Drive shafts are also a good shout. I've had the balance belt removed from my ATR and there is no noise/feeling when pulling away. Only a really slightly extra vibration when on tick over.
If the vibration is really bad then it might be worth getting it looked at. I can reccomend Chris on here who has set up his own garage. He's based in Manchester i beleive. My geography of England is AWFUL, but if it's not too far take the car to him to get it looked at.
