Glove Box won't unlock?! :-(

I've only owned my Accord for a couple of days now, and when I left the car the other day I locked the glove box as per the manual, just turning the key. But now it won't unlock!

I turn the key anticlockwise and it doesn't move at all. I've tried pushing the lock inwards and turning, wiggling the key, fiddling with the handle while turning the key - nothing works.

I don't have anything I need in there at the moment, but I could do with getting it unlocked. Any ideas?

Try a little bit of WD 40 in the key slot, then repeat what you have done above.

Also try moving the glove box slightly, inwards /upwards left or right in case it is caught.

also try turning the key round. Long shot but has proven to work for me in the past on other situations

Turning the key round worked, but I had to press the button in slightly for it to budge.

Is that key a copy I wonder? Have you another to try?

They key is one of the two I have - they both have a leather keyring with the logo of the original Honda dealership with them (Hydland Honda - somewhere in Scotland I'd imagine).
