Got a couple threads going with minor faults and another problem this morning.

new battery on Saturday in fob and car.

alarm going off last night.

this morning. Interior light on. Buzzing at dash.
car started just
where miles etc are on dash some codes

61028. 10
61075. 11
61076. 11
61080. 11

drivers door showing as open and not. Interir light no coming on with door.
door light in corner flashing and flickering.

got to work. Disconected battery.
checked door switch.

reconected battery.
no codes just says no.
no mileage or anything.
computer says no.

wont rev past 4.5 k.

miles etc comes up then goes back to NO. And nothing else. Yet atleast imobiliser key ain't flashing now :)

left battery fully disconected while at work for a few hours.
got use of a snap on diagnostic so will check that when i get back to the yard

drivers footwell is wet. looked round windscreen and there some silicon round it..not looking to clever. May be water in fuse box ?

any ideas or anyone with HDS near Manchester ?

took vids and pics will post when home

Well the first thing is to get that footwell and ***ociated electics dried out! As the water sure isn't helping things. You really need a diagnostic, When it all goes haywire, can you get a multimeter on the battery to see the voltage?

Actualy checked the fuse box and some fuses were wet. Pulled as many plugs and fuses as i could and let rip with an air line :)

seemed to do the trick.. Made use of a blue point diagnostic scanner..no codes
small bead of silicone added to windscreen trim as some had been added before but not very well.

dusconected battery and left for an hour or so
car driving fine now though.
but !!!!

passenger rear window unoperable from drivers switch.
remote locking is intermittant. Works and then decides its not gonna do anything.
boot wont open from handle just from fob and wont close fully. Needs a little nudge.

green key symbol back for immobiliser .

getting there.
ill upload pics of what i had earlier when in on the laptop.

So, it looks like you've water hitting the electrics then.

Obvious thing is to get all that removed from where ever its soaking into and seal the car. Once dried out, test everything again.

computer said " NO "

VIDEO this morning of codes

ABS code has since gone :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6wswabsedM&feature=youtu.be

It wasn't saying no - it was saying "numbers" :)

Well the B codes are Body electrical codes and:

B1028 is the Rear Wiper
B1075 is the front signal lights (i.e. indicators)
B1080 is Power Supply circuit for the MICU and Relay Contol module

So, what does this tell us? The MICU and/or Relay module (which control the indicators and wipers) are having issues! This is consistent with the water ingress on the relays you mentioned. Are you 100% sure, they've been dried out completely?

If so, I'd check the Power stability of both the MICU and Relay Control module. (i.e. that there's a clear 12V into the units)

Pic does say NO lol and that's all it came up with.

numbers i niss read as starting with 6 ooops :)

Not as much water this morning after the rain. But still caused a fee problems. Wondering if this is imobiliser light issue cause also as took a few attempts to start this morning.
1. Battery had gone flat and dash flickering
2. Boosted car and took a few attempts to get green key to go out

may be best to find the definitive cause of water intake then change IMCU...

do these have to come from same model or will all from same gen work

thanks for ur help and advice by the way

dave

Water ingress problems do my head in, I've had my fair share in the past! Hope you get it sorted mate :)

ditto lol
winding me up now.. friend has a spare IMCU with all relays etc , but o point in fitting untill leak has been found. one in passenger rear footwell but thats not my concern nat the moent , need to stop it hitting the fuses :(

no marks on roof lining etc ... wonder if its window and if it can be resealed properly ?

Is the battery going flat when left overnight? If so, you've a short somewhere. The current drain across the battery should be in the order of 50-100mA on StandBy. This wouldn't be enough to flatten the battery.

for the MICU, you'll need one from a similar car. In so far as, if you've a tourer you'll need a tourer petrol one. Not sure if a saloon will fit (as the boot logic isn't there).

im inclined to think the water was causing all the problems.
as brand new battery , so thinking water bridging the terminals - mrs would kill me if it caught fire and hers got scorched lol

No abseiling this afternoon soo

upside down in foot well :)

reached up feeling for excess water etc. In towards where door hinges are , there a large hole i can get my hand to. Foam lined and wet , bit more moisture further up towards bottom of screen sooo

stripped front slam panel off, wipers and roof strip that runs up the window drivers side ( had been sealed before looking at it )

Had been fitted really badly , or a old fix. mastic , sealant everywhere and falling out.
cleaned up all old sealant

couple of tigerseal cartridges in the shed so used one or part off one to seal the edges , along with sealant along the front slam panel

left to go off for a while with tape holding firmly in place and will leave over night

cleaned out the MICU , every fuse , wire , clip taken out. MICU out and dryed with hairdryer :)
all back together.

this one didnt look to clever

next lifted carpet at the front drivers side,, now i never took a picture but obviously a grommet is missing. 1 inch circular hole about 12 inch from the sill in the floor level with petrol cap release
so temporarily sealed that up till i can source the correct plug / grommet .
wet vac to soak up as much moisture in the carpet as possible

Back to the fuses , all back together

everything working yey :)

no flashing key symbol

boot works perfectly

hopefully done enough to keep out any moisture

Well, at least you now know the source of the problems! B)

Seal that car up and get drying.

bit of rain yesterday when car was left at work.
got back and all seems good , fingers crossed :)
may run a bit of water over it today and see if any water gets in

once no water is getting in atall then i think ill be looking to change the micu as im sure the over time the moisture will effect the conections etc and they aint dear . change the relays and the carpet .

hopefully then i can get to sorting the rear wiper arm , front bumper
goint to change the droplinks and any bushes that need doing .

set to with the machine polisher and what ever extras i can do :)

appreciate all the advice given :)

well we had a bit of rain and i jet washed the car earlier and still no leaks i can see :)

Leaking again and water in fuse box again :(

on the plus side , a branch has came off a tree above the car where i park and cracked the windscreen , i say plus side as maybe the seal on the screen is casusing the leak ?

wait and see once replaced on saturday .

I hope that sorts it mate, this can't be doing the electrics any good :(

On my last car the leak was in the boot, the well was filling up. I tigersealed everything I could find and yet it still got in! Eventually I noticed the rear screen which is bonded on was at a slight angle and the tiniest gap on the corner was letting the water in. Abit of tigerseal on this and it stopped = me very happy!

The car before that was leaking from the ECU seal and getting into the drivers footwell. Everytime I sealed it water would just get through again :(

hopefully this will sort things

ill try and describe best i can :)

looking up past the steering column , above fuse and relay box there is an opening , filled with all i can describe as black foam ( thats wet )
look further up can see some sort of covering , again looks like foam coated in a harded shell ( dunno the name ) , runs along back / top of dash.
any how following that description  it seems wet it that area , definetly very close to the screen...

no sealent down the drivers side of screen what so ever , initially i took all the beads running down the edge of the screen as it was just falling off, and tiger sealed the area

ordered new gutter trim clips for around the screen area as i know they are all broke £35 from honda , atleast when screen is in i know the trim will be also fit correctly

if the new screen solves the problem ill look at a new MICU as like u say , the water wont of done any good to the electrics... found them around the £20 mark ..
just hope any trim aint damaged by the tiger seal when removed , but atlease that can be replaced easily

then its onto the leak , passenger rear footwell

will also either change the carpet or take out when a bit warmer and give it a good clean and leave to dry

fingers crossed ill have no leakage come Saturday and can concentrated on the rest of the car ..and enjoy it :)

Well , new screen fitted saturday

had a bit of sealant along top of screen , a blob in each corner and nothing on the sides or bottom ...
Seems like a DIY fix was done at some point as wasnt original screen

Things are drying out nicely and can now lock the car , leave battery connected and have no alarms going off in the middle of the night , which will please the neighbours im sure :)

no more leaks in the car so thats the main thing and after the rain the last few days im sure some water would of surfaced in the car if still leaking .. happy days

On another plus note ive changed access companies ( Abseiling rope access and cherry picker work )
and been asked if also want to train in smart repair ..

bumper scuff fix for free :)

Good result mate :)

Did you pay for the new screen or get it done on the insurance?

thanks mate

£75 to pay on the screen , and doesnt affect no claims so happy days .
now parking about 10 meters up the road away from tree :)

car drying out nicely ... so im sure all good now :)
