I've been loving my new Accord EX; however, one bugbear was using an FM transmitter for audio, which is noticeably lower quality. So, I set out to find a solution to play high-quality Bluetooth audio.
I tried to follow an old guide that is hosted on the Civic forum. However, whenever I clicked the link, it just took me to the forum's wiki page, which put me back to square one. With a bit of digging I managed to find the guide hosted somewhere else. I have archived the guide on the Internet Archive to ensure it's posterity.
This guide was written by the user Pottsy on the CivInfo forum, and I take no credit for it.
You may notice the guide is written for the XCarlink device; however, I can confirm that the steps are exactly the same for the Connects2 CTAHOBT001 device. I can also confirm that the device works on the Navigation head unit, despite what some sellers' descriptions on eBay might say. The CD changer won't work anymore, but that's not a significant loss in 2025.
