Hand brake adjustment for 2011 accord I-detec ex

Hoe do I adjust the hand brake because there is an air vent in the back of arm rest and you can’t get to the adjusting nut?

Adjust it at the hub first, you probably will not need to adjust the main nut.

Had the same. answer is remove the bottom of the tray rubber mat, you will find a trap door very stiff to open but it will if you give it enough wellie, and behold the adjusting nut! In order to move the bloody thing was another matter, had to purchase a 12mm cranked ratchet spanner to do the job. Tip put 8 clicks on the handbrake lever before you adjust or you could have the shoes binding. Do not go for leas than 6/8 clicks to set the brake. When in drive they should hold you.

I noticed by E-Brake was getting loose so I remove the center console and increased the tension in the cabling. When I lift the brake handle there's plenty of tension but in gear the brake still doesn't hold. If something was broken like a cable or linkage there wouldn't be any tension but there is. I have ran out of ideas but avoiding going to a garage for this.
