Hi
I recently installed a nextbase 312gw in my Accord. I have hardwired it up to the internal fuse box in the position of the cigarette lighter so that it turns off once the ignition is turned off.
However here is my problem. When I turn the car off the camera continues to record. Also when the car is off and I plug in the dash cam, it turns on as somehow it manages to get power when i expect it to not. It seems like the cigarette lighter fuse positon keeps providing power even when the car is off.
To get around this I changed the hardwire and plugged it into the driver side window fuse as I know that the windows only work when the ignition is on. However the situation is the same with this position in the fuse box.
Any ideas why this is happening and ehat would be the best fuse to use for the hardwire?
Thanks
