Hatchback ? and facelift ?

Hi

Quite new to these cars.

1) My Accord is a hatchback - however I have noticed comments that imply there is also a non-hatchback 6 Gen ? Is this correct?

2) I have also seen comments about "facelift" for later cars. Is this correct too - and what were the changes? When were they implemented?

Hi mate, not all are hatchbacks. I have a 2001 saloon, plus the Type R's are saloons also. As for facelift, mines a facelift and its a 2001 model, it just has different bumpers and grill in standard form and the may have changed the position of the aerial?? Not sure of the actual year of the facelift change though

I just compared two on ebay and there is a very slight difference to the bumpers - so small you would hardly notice. The grill looks the same to me. Also it looks like they changed the electric aerial for a small one, top of the rear window.

On the saloon, presumably at the rear, the boot lid is hinged below the rear window and the rear window is fixed. Is this correct?

I quite fancy a type V.

Yeh the boot is hinged below the rear window, the pre facelift bumpers have a kind of built in bump strip to them and the fog light areas are a different shape i believe.
