Headlight beam dropped

Hi folks,

Had my accord over a year now and it's been faultless until the other night.

Driving down the motorway on dipped beam all fine, went to full beam all fine, back to dipped and the drivers side beam had dropped to its lowest position. It won't adjust up with the adjuster in the car but the passenger side will. It would adjust fine before it dropped.

Any ideas what caused this and how I can fix it? It's a 55 plate 2.2 diesel tourer.

Sounds like the plastice clip that the adjustment motor connects to in the headlight ***embly is broken... it's a 0:56 here:

Yep, afraid so. Not only, but you made need to actually split the headlight. It could be simpler and cheaper to get a new headlight (from a breakers)

I think Jason is right, but it might be that the electonics inside has gone faulty and wound the lamp all the way down.

My lights used to wind down quite often (together) and I would take it back to the dealer to get it put right (it was under warranty at the time). Eventually I got fed up with this game, so I disconnected the plugs from the motors.

Do you think it would be best to try and adjust it up with the adjuster on the light before I take it out?
