Has anyone ever managed to remove the headlight lens covers on a 7th gen before without breaking them ?

Mine could do with a good clean on the inside where I've had a condensation problem . I've done the same thing with my previous car with great results but I'm not sure how easierly the Honda covers are to remove .

Yep, I've done them, messy but not overly tricky. You'll need to get them into an oven, so before you even try make sure they'll fit!

Get the temperate of the oven up to about 100-120 degrees centigrade and then get some wet cardboard and put in the base of the oven. Take the headlight and remove all bulbs and relevant rubbers, adjusters, etc. Stick it into the oven for 2-3 minutes to allow the sealing resin and remove. Be careful, it'll be hot to handle. Using a screwdriver pry the holder and lens cover apart - there'll be sticky epoxy everywhere! Don't try to remove the resin, as you'll use this to reseal the lamp.

Clean the lamp and whatever you want to do.

When done put the cover and case back together and put back into the oven. Leave for 2-3 minutes to allow the sealant to soften, take it out and straight away stary applying force to push the unit together. You'll need to be quick as this hardens pretty quickly. One done it's resealed.

REMEMBER - keep the cardboard wet and ensure that a fire doesn't start.

Thanks for the info matey . I did it on my skyline afew years ago in the same way but I wasn't sure how the 7 gen ones would stand up when being placed in an oven lol.

Thanks again mate I'll give it ago .

I know what you mean, they look pretty flimsy for an oven, but they came out ok! :)
