Heater in drivers side footwell

When I put my heaters on the passengers side footwell blows out enough heat but the drivers side footwell is very weak. How do I go about diagnosing where the fault is or where the heat is escaping?

that's not easy because the ducts are motorised and it's all hidden up behind the dash
