So about a week ago I put a new Pollen filter in. Although it is a bit better the airflow is still quite poor. When I set the blower to speed 3or more the motor is noisy. Like a loud thrum?
Is the motor on it's last legs? I read other posts that said changing the filter vastly improved the airflow.
Any one else have this problem?
Thanks. :)

Hi mate, i know its a silly question but have you fitted it the correct way round?

If its the right way round then Id suggest cleaning out the motor, when i brought mine it done the same as you described.
I ripped out the motor to replace it and it was full of dust ect. So i clean it up and cleaned the connections and hey presto....works a treat ;)

Thanks for your reply. Can you give me a brief description on how to access the blower and clean it up? :)

Hi mate no probs.

Under the passenger side dash, in the foot well. if theres a panel there, remove it.
the look up under the dash from the passenger foot well and you will see the motor. Big round thing, its held in by 3 or 4 bolts.

You may have some wiring harness running accross it.
unplug them and move them to 1 side.

then unbolt the 3/4 bolts i think there were 8mm :)

once you have undone them, give it a little wiggle and pull the blower out.

to replace just pop back in. refit the 8mm bolts and jobs a good'en ;)

Lings Honda have some helpful parts diagrams, this could help find what you are looking for but you need to create and account and then browse for your car. Ok you might not need it for this but virtually every part is listed for everywhere else so its worth creating an account ;)

Here is a diagram for my car for example
