help needed with warning light

Hi

I got a engine warning light on this morning, the car did not start first time then I tried to start it again this is when the warning light came on.

I drove to work and noticed I did loose power or acceleration.

Any guidance is gratefully received.

was this warning light in the shape of an engine by any chance ?

you need to tell us what warning light it was as for all we know you could have just left the handbrake on.

if the engine light came on, you where VERY brave to drive the car
if the oil light came on, you may have killed the engine

let us know what light it was and maybe we can help out some more.. also tell us the year of the car and milage

Hello Az. Which warning light is it? Also what car do you have?? Model and year?

Adams right, the symbol on the dash is important to help, also not starting first time might give some clues too. Are you with the AA they can come out and check the fault and tell you on the spot whats up.
