HFT start-up beep

Had a quick search but couldn't find anything to solve an odd problem. My 06 EX is paired with my work BlackBerry and it works well. However, in the last month or so, after switching the ignition on I get a single beep from the HFT about 20 seconds after turning the key. Nothing appears on the dash.

This happens whether the engine starts or not, and it mutes the stereo at the same time for a couple of seconds. As I said, the HFT still works okay but I can't figure it out, and there's nothing in the manual either.

Anyone else experienced this? I could blank everything and re-pair the phone unless there's a quick fix!

Mods, can you delete the duplicate threads? Keeps happening to me!

Have played with this a bit more and the beep happens every time, even when the phone is not near the car i.e. not paired. It also does it when the key isn't in the ignition but when the door is unlocked!

I've sent an email to HondaHandsfree.com to see if they can help - just can't find anything on this issue at all.
