Hi guys,
After successfully removing and cleaning TB and IACV, upon reassembly and startup i was shocked to see an idle of 2000rpm! Further inspection indicated the throttle cable was a little tight, engaging the throttle ever so slightly. A quick loosen reduced this to the region of 1000 -1250rpm. My first thought was that the throttle cable was sticking a little and funnily enough, if hook my foot under the gas pedal and knock up slightly it reduces the idle toward the base line (still slightly higher around 800rpm depending on how warm she is)-although this does not happen every time. My question is do you guys think I have disturbed something mechanically and will have to reset the idle rpm manually..or was a disconnected battery for an hour or so not enough to reset the ECU? I have been on several drives since and the warm idle is in the region of 1000rpm. Cold startup rpm is 1250rpm. Car does pull better now tho after the clean up
Cheers,
Rob.
