Hi all my upper tail light has stopped working on my tourer. I have tested the LED unit & that works when powered up. Question, where to start looking for wiring to check or connectors. Any help & advice more than welcome. Thanks

I don't know which colour of wire it is for brake light, but I would start from stripping the side trims in the boot where all wires are going through and check for any damage there.

Thanks for that, didn't know where the wires went through from the tailgate to the roof etc?

The tailgate up if you remove the centre trim, just a gentle pull and then the 2 side pieces will come away and you can check for damaged cables there.

On my tourer there is some gaffa tape on the wiring loom so I'm guessing my car may of had a similar problem in the past

Thanks for that, I will have a look. It would be great if it is there & easy to get to! :) thanks

Great news break light now fixed. Took the right handside side panel off & the wiring was there, the White wire was the brake light. Soldered a new section of wire in & heat shrunk protection, all as good as new. I hope the info helps someone else. Cheers

No a clean cut, so would think age! On 130k & I use the tailgate a lot? Spoke a garage friend who said it was the first place he would always look.
