How do you remove the standard cd changer in the boot?

I can see it's held by 4 screws, 2 either side but the ones on the right side are pressed against the trim so there is no way to getting a screwdriver in ther to unscrew them.

I only want to remove the changer and not the brackets that are holding it as i want to use these with my new changer.

The trim around it does'nt look staright forward to take off.

Any help appreciated

ok that easy , take the wire connector off at the back then at the base using a long reach socket get the 8mm or 10mm bolt off that will loose the tube bracket .. that will give you room to remove the phillip head screws of the side bracket .. that will get he cd unit out

if the bottom bolts are rounded or you cant get them off get flexi screwdriver and they will remove those screws of the bracket.

Bracket seems to be welded onto body.

It's diffcult to see from the pictures but there is about 1mm space between the screws and the boot lining on the right side. A flexi screwdriver will not fit in the gap.
In order to get at the screws i think the boot lining will need to be removed.

Finally managed to get it out.

The bracket was bolted to the underneath of the car.
Should have checked there before.

I have mp3 at last.

Congrats on getting MP3!

Do you have the Bose head unit? If so, is it cassette or CD?
