Hi I apologise if this is posted somewhere else, I've looked all over the internet and can't find any help so here goes.
I be got a 2004 ictdi ex tourer which has an intermittent starting fault. Either key isn't always seen or recognised by the aerial for the imob. Sometimes a few on offs and the green key light goes out, other times it takes more, 45mins most yet. I diagnosed it as the aerial being faulty so I got a new one and took to the car and new parts to honda to be programmed as we can't programme them. Honda said They couldn't communicate with the ecu to programme the new aerial. They had it for a day and tried a few things and said it's the ecu that's faulty, I'm not convinced neither are a few ecu specialist I've talked to. We had some trouble with our snap on code reader checked battery condition earths fuses etc all ok and occasionally it read codes etc. Now I think this is a wiring fault rather than a £1200 new ecu any help or ideas or generally pointing in the right direction would be great would be great. Just as a foot note the starting problem seems to be worse on a hot day so possibly ecu lol.
