Last couple of days my car has taken a while to start up hot or cold ( worse when its been left over night ) and now wont start up , going to do a leak off test tomorrow and see which injectors failed , I had to replace one 3 weeks ago

Rather than keep buying used injectors from a breaker is there anywhere in the north west that can recondition my injectors

Thanks

Can't help you with the recommendations, but if you don't find any excessive leak-off/leak-back issues, then check that the fuel rail over-pressure relief valve isn't leaking, as that will cause the exact same starting issues. It's on the drivers side end of the fuel rail and returns fuel back to the tank along the same pipe as the injector leak backs. There's a thread about this that's been active in the last day or two.

I just did a leak-back test yesterday including the over-pressure valve. If you do test this make sure you blank off the return coming off the top of the pump. This needs to be a secure connection. I left the original short piece of hose connected, turned it through 90 degrees and pushed the top of a round-headed bolt into the other end of the hose, secured with the original hose clip. If you don't do this you will end up with diesel EVERYWHERE. I tried this first with a piece of clear hose and a couple of clips - the pressure blew the clear hose off the connector when I turned the engine on the starter. Switched it off pretty quick so not much of a leak!

I would attach a photo to show what I'm talking about but I can't work out how to get an image from my laptop posted in this reply.

Anyway, the result of my test was that I need two injectors. Did you change yours yourself and if so how did you get the old one out?

I'm intending to get a diesel centre here in Coventry to recondition them. They want £125 per injector I know you can get them cheaper online but I think I'd rather have somewhere I can go back to in case of problems.

I don't know where you are but Google "diesel specialist north west" gives a few results including http://www.fuelinjectionservice.co.uk/ who are near Ormskirk. I guess the service and cost will be pretty similar at all these places.
