Intercooler : Easy to remove?

Hi all, has anyone ever took off / inspected their intercooler ?

I'm on the lookout for a cheap 0281002658 MAF, but in the interim I wouldn't mind knowing whether its possible to strip off and clean out the intercooler without having to rip off all the front of the car getting to it. Can anyone advise?

...wish I had an inspection pit :-(

Its not hard to remove but you will need to get the bumper off for good access.

like Andy says you need to remove the bumper first - easier than it seems then it's well exposed. You'll then have east access to if to remove any debris from the fins
