Interior Dash around the Gear

Does any body know what is the made of the interior dash around the Gear?

are they plastic or wood with a coat?

It has swirl marks and scratch, I would like to polish it or do some treatment.

What do you guys recommend?

I'm sure is plastic with a coat.
You could try Autosol on a hidden part to see if this will get out the scratch.

yup, its looks like plastic, not actual wood.

will try that to see if the swirl marks dissappear.

I would try normal metal polish as per link below.Iv used this on Acrlic Windows and works a treat but do try a small bit 1st.
