Is there an emergency release for the trunk?

Hi, my trunk will not open when using the remote, key from outside or the lever from inside. When I press on the remote I can hear a clicking sound, but it does not open. It was working fine yesterday. Can someone pls help me? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like something trapped in your boot catch,you need to get into the boot through the back seats and pull out whatever is in there.you probably gonna need to stick something through the gap of you back seat and parcel shelf(long screwdriver or coat hanger) to activate the seat catch to fold them down.

Hi, thanks for the reply. But I cant get to the boot through the back seats as I think the cable to set them loose is accessed through the boot. But I will need to look if I can somehow stick a long wire and then pull the cord. Thanks a lot for the idea.
