knocking or rattle from right hand side

Hi all,

I've got the 2.2 ictdi executive and it has developed a sort of rattle from the right hand side ( from drivers seat) I have had a look under the bonnet and it seems too be coming from the power steering pump is this likely or is there a more comon fault around tht area?

I have checked the fluids and all seem too be ok.
