Hello guys,

I have a 2002 Accord Sport CG8 and I would like to by used leather seats from executive model.
The problem is that I found only seats from UK Accords (steering on the right side), and I need the oposite one.
Is it somehow possible to put theese seats and convert them on left side drive, and if I ever put leather seats colud I menage to wire the power seats?
Best regards,
foRce

All your buttons will be on the wrong side and therefore scrunched against the centre console. Remember the driver's seat as the up and down movement as well ,so the main control is different from the passenger side.

Ok, so I am going to fing seats for the left side drive, but is it possible to wire the power seats when I get it, cause my doesnt have that mode?
Oh sorry, one more question. The rear seats, are they the same for the hatch and sedan?

If you manage to find seats that you want from a car with the same hand drive as yours then they'll go in. They can be wired up. I'm not too sure how to go about this, but all the plugs are there in your car without them, just hidden away somewhere. Si it might be a case of have a play with them if you find them, or get an auto electritian to have a look for you.

The rear bench seat in the saloon is differnent from the one in the hatch. There are different mounting points and therefore NOT interchangable.

Thanks a lot Simon, the most importaint is that I have all the plugs hidden for the power seats. Now, just to find the leather interior. It will be hard task.
Cheers!

Hello guys,

I searched everywhere and there is no leather seats for the left side drive. The only option is to by right side drive seats.
I found them for 200 euros. The problem is that I must put seats like in the U.K. and my steering wheel is on the left. If I do the other way my side airbags, seatbelt clips and power buttons for the seats will be on the wrong side.
I know that I will not have the upside down adjusment for my seat, and my wife will have the best seat in the car :)
I am not sure if I can manage to plug in all the cables for airbags, because the seats will be on the U.K. side and my instalation cables are for right side, so maybe my airbag light on the dash will light up when I switch the sides?
And how can I extend the cable for the power seat to the right side?
Please help.
Best regards,

Igor

TO be honest dude it's not really worth changing the seats if you can only get them in right hand drive. As you've said the airbags and everything will be on the wrong side.

You'll get the SRS light come on on the dash for a start, and thats not good. Sorry it's not better news. Are there not any breakers yards in Serbia? It might be worth contacting your local Honda dealership and finding out if they are available through them. Then you'll know if they do exist. If they do then you can try other countries in continental Europe that drive on the left.

There are scrap yards in Serbia, but they do not have leather interiors for CG8 or CG9, only regular seats like mine. I will keep looking for the seats, maybe in Germany or Belgium, but if I find them there it will be too much expensive to delever it to my country. Thanks anyway, and cheers

find an upholsterer who makes leather furniture and get him to sew you up a set to fit on your own seats.

I already asked a guy who do that, leather gear knobs, steering wheels, interior......and it costs about 800 euros for all seats, but it never looks like fabrique leather. Its too much expensive.

if your really stuck and end up going for fitting the right hand seats in, then its not too hard to move the wiring accross,

remove the center console then the two seats and cut the plugs off the wiring, leaving about 2" to work with and add about 1meter in by eather cripping or soldering. now follow the wiring under the carpet to the center up and over and down to the passanger side. Hay presto :p the wife has the best seat in the house ;) alot of work for leather seats.

luvmyaccord is spot on about the back seats must go for a saloon spec if any.

hope you fine what your looking for!

Hi guys,

At last I found leather seats for my Accord. They will be dellivered to me for 2 weeks.
Now, I need help from U.
I looked and i saw that I have all fuse slots (empty of course) for power seats, heated seats, cruise control, bose stereo, sunroof....all the things that I dont have :(
After I remove my old seats, where can I find connector for heated seats and power adjusment? Is there any? For sure?
Did anyone do that job before?
Sorry for so much questions......
Best regards.

Hey fella,

Congrats on finding some seats dude!!! Great news. As far as the swap goes i don't know of anyone that has actually done it. Have a read through of your handbook, and see if there are any answers in there. I think that the connectors are still there even if the car didn't come with the seats fitted originally.

Hope Gordon will see this soon and will be able to help you out some more. He's kind of the 6th gen electronics guru.
