an unusal phenominum! When the brakes are applied the high- level smd device fitted wipes out the radio signal. Will find a methoid of screening the interference and let you all know. Having held a ham radio licence for 30 years I will come up with a solution(some sort of mesh screen in the lamp housing me thinks):(

my cars every single bulb is LED, had them over a year now and no problem at all... its always the icdti that has litle niggles with the LED :(

Have to agree with you there Jav, sounds like the electrical system on the ICTDI is far more sensitive.. But I also have a near complete LED conversion and no issues here.

The problem ones are no doubt the 2-3 that you've left standard :)

I have every bulb done except indicators and touch wood no problems.

Got a specialised frequence counter. Wil look for the harmonic that is causing the problem. If I fit the brake housing with a mesh screen of the correct size this will eliminate the problem. (bit like the door screen on a microwave) let battle commence

I fitted 25 smd to the front sides, 25 smd to the rear sides, 30 smd to the rear side/brake, 3 smd to number plate & doors. Glow Plug light now flashing, done the 3xstart/stop & it cleared, put lights on & GP warning back again, think it might be the 25 smd rear sides just through process of elimination without swapping bulbs yet. I've got 4x orange 25 smd & 4x resistors still to fit so might even try the resistors on the side lights. Will let you all know........

just took my stop/tail ones out and the flashing glow plug warning gone away after 3x start/stop engine.

Just noticed that when they were fitted my high level brake light was on with the side lights & went brighter with brakes applied.....work that 1 out

are all the problems with led bulbs in post facelift? Does the post facelift have CAN bus? This would explain a lot.

Can see why the high level LED could interfere with the radio signal as the aerial is on the back windscreen, but can't think why they'd emit any radio frequency. Maybe they're fed by a chopper and not DC?

Gav, post facelift are not CANBUS or at least that's not an interface I've had to use when tuning them.

But you're right, the issues do seem to be common to the facelift cars..
