LED Lights

Hi I have led side lights they look sweet! Match my hids better than the yellow oem ones, my car is also artic blue so matches that too .

I've ordered some LED rear lights to start with as mine are not bright enough when the brake is applied... I may go for LED sidelights next month...

My advice is to change one side to LEDs and then have a look at the car when it's dark . I've had two sets of LED lights in mine and neither looked as good, or as bright, as proper bulbs. It's now back on bulbs.

The brake light LEDs are no brighter than bulbs either.

LED number plate lights look pretty cool, though.

I believe (and I may be wildly off here) that the white LEDs have a frequency that is too 'pure' so they don't show much light through the red filter - it would be better if you bought proper rear light LEDs in red. I haven't tried though I've just heard lots of stories of LEDs being really dull behind the red plastic.

I didn't think it was that they were dull. Just that the light wasn't directed in the same way as it is from a bulb, so the reflective surround wasn't that effective. Until they make LEDs that give total 360 degree light output all the way around (not in columns, like current ones do) then I don't think they are ever going to have the same effect as a bulb.
