I currently have my setero in the upper location in an area which will fit only a single din as the heater controls take up the rest of the space.

The lower section of the centre consol will fit a double din (where the clock and storage pocket are) but there is no way to fit the cage. Is there an adapter kit available from auto leads or the sort to move the stereo down to that location?

Check out an Accord with Sat Nav in it mate, it will give you an idea on what you can do

move the heater controls down lol and fit a E-din pocket. this leaves the top part free for fitting your double din and no cage as it bolts in.

you will need to mess around a bit to make it all sit ok.

I was hoping for a simple solution from autoleads etc to save me the faff! As for moving the heater controls, it would be easier to make a bracket for the lower location which would screw to the side of the head unit like the Gen6 celica has as standard. I just hoped I'd have an easy ride! lol

I guess it's out with the sheet steel and dremel then. Booooo hiss!!!

Well someone else seems to have done it here...

Mine looks like this

So where the clock and pocket are would be ideal for the double DIN without messing about the heater controls and being automatic, the gear stick ain't gonna get in the way!

I need to go search for bits!!!

take the clock and pocket out you will need to do a bit of willing and painting aroung that area but it can be done.

have a look at this link and scroll down the page a bit bud http://www.accordr.org/index.php?/topic/28469-kazs-atr-some-more-stuff-done-page-5-post-86/

The easiest way i've seen for doing this is just remove the clock and cubby thing and then make a simple bracket that will hold the double din unit in place.

How i can do it?
Hello pzza. We normally encourage new members to introduce themselves before asking questions.

You would need to make one out of steel/metal and drill the required holes etc. A little bit of engineering required.
