Hi all
I've got a 98 accord coupe ( i hope i'm posting in the right place? ) The car is really really good apart from when its cold the auto box is jerky from 1st-2nd and back down again and also the kick down seems to come in very harshly. Once its warmed up the box smooths out and the kickdown isnt quite so bad. I was thinking about having the box looked at but the more people i talk to the more i'm told "leave well alone" . On the old ford serria/granada boxes a lumpy box would often turn into a undriveable box after being serviced. Theres also this idea that my box is "sealed for life" if so there no brake bands to tweak ect only fuild and maybe a filter to change if thats the case i'll do it myself. So at the moment i'm leaning towards just learning it alone. Does anyone else have any light they can shed on this plesae?
Thanx Matt
