Hi my 2003 2.4 auto failed today. customer print out say's front suspension compensator adrift.

Excuse my ignorance but what is the compensator? Is it Bush or a contol arm?

It was too late in the day for me to get an answer at the dealer.

Honda want £112 for each side.

Thanks for any advice

I would say they are referring to a control arm, in which case it would be bushing's or a ball joint thats the issue. Either way it may well be worth just buying new parts rather than changing the offending elements.

Many thanks Monks.

Neil is that the same thing as a ball joint mate?

yeah. that's the one mate.

I replaced my near side a few months ago and now the offside has gone. :(

I am going to attempt the job myself this time as the ball joint is only 14 quid.

I expect a few grazed knuckles but if it save me 100 quid it will be worth it.

At least it isn't the compliance bush Neil that one is a PITA and often leads people just to replace the whole arm.

front compliance bushes are very common to wear on the 7th gen. If you have a press they are very easy to replace. I changed hundreds whilst working at Honda.
