hi peoples :)
i've just got my 2.2 diesel back from the MOT place and it has failed on front suspension bushes.
namely:
nearside lower front bush
offside front upper excessive play in ball joint

as im fairly handy with the spanners, are these jobs DIYable. infact, are the parts available from ECP, or GSF, or whoever? or should i replace the entire upper arm? there is an advisory on the offside lower front bush too.

any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

thanks
andy

Must be correct.

i hope it is, replacement arms ordered! i really couldnt be arsed to fanny about pressing bushes into arms so these arms might cost a bit more but its a lot easier to do :)

Glad you posted this. I've had a similar thing today. It was only an advisory but nearside lower suspension bush is on its way. Did you change both arms or just the one?

Jayok posted a vid clip of changing these bushes... you have to drop the subframe, iirc, but nothing too bad.

ill be changing both lower arms and the one upper.

dont suppose you have a link to jayok's post or video do you? i see hes a prolific poster so trawling through all his posts could take a while!
