It probably only fits a petrol!

all Honda's have the same diameter thread on the gear stick.
I am guessing you have bought a Chinese fake Mugen knob and the thread is wrong.

the thread as far as I know is identical on the civic and all the accords etc.

I'm gutted by hearing this are fake one the thread is too big for this knob... :-(

Can u measure the thread diameter on the gear knob and maybe we can work out what it should fit

Not sure how to accurately measure this diameter of the thread fr the Gearknob, but it said on the paper in the box that go with the knob is M 10x1.5 hope guys can help.. He won't let me return and I have no point reselling this known as fake one in eBay..!

10x1.5 is the correct width for Honda fitment.??

Here is a link to a fake Mugen gear knob direct from China to give you an idea of how convincing they are. http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/431327307/Mugen_New_Style_Shift_Knob_5MT.html

Here is a link to loads of vendors, All offering fake Mugen gear knobs. http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?SearchText=mugen+shift&Country=&CatId=0&IndexArea=product_en&fsb=y&viewAllCategory=

You have to be very careful when buying from Ebay.

If the gear knob was advertised as fitting the Accord and it does not then the seller should have no problem refunding your money or exchanging it. if you bought it from Ebay open a dispute. The guy sounds very dodgy to me.

Hi, the seller didn't mention this should fit the accord, all he said is civic, ep3, dc2, dc5 ect, and case had been open to this in eBay hope eBay will help me...

good luck with your case. could you post a link to the guys ebay account so I can avoid him like the plague.

if it is faulty the guy should have no problem exchanging or refunding. thats what normal sellers do.

Unfortunately this guy are selling the one he bought from somewhere thats why he doesnt accept return in eBay system :-(, on his describtion, he mention this is genuine and never used because car had been sold, well, may be he realised that this is fake one so he put this in eBay!

yeah it looks that way mate. Bought it and tried it and found out it does not fit so sold it on. Who buys a 50 quid gear knob and never puts it on the car.

Well 10x1.5 isn't the right fitment for our accord?

It is. Plenty of people have fitted Mugen,Spoon, Skunk 2 etc gear knobs with no problem. M10 x 1.5 Thread Fits All Honda Accords

I would suggest that the knob you have is not 10x1.5 even if the box states it is.

Take a look at this thread and look at the first picture and you can clearly see the thread size on the box.

Thanks crespo, I thing if they trying to make replica mugen product, I would said this is failing products! Honestly the metal made was not bad, but pretty sharp on the edge of the small holes around the top bit..why they will mistake on the thread....

i would be more concerned why the seller wont refund you the money when the item is clearly faulty and probably fake.

So do I mate, I just open a dispute on eBay, because he won't accept return in his eBay policy.. And I trying make the point that he was selling a item which wasn't as what he described it..will have to wait what eBay decide to do if can't solve the problem..:-(
