Very nice Mike

Like a slippery Dolphin :D....

As with Gav... have you any plans? Maybe a little droppy droppy ;).

Thanks for your comments guys. Probably the only add ons iwill be coats of wax to help protect it from the winter, particularlrly as she won't fit in my garage! This is the first car I have owned in 30 years that I haven't been able to put to bed at night!!!
Whilst I love to see the modified cars , my passion lies in seeing an immaccate car on my drive. I purchased this car with 17 k miles on the clock, the first used car for around 10 years and was pondering wether to buy one with someone else's scratches or to wait to see what the 2012 Civic would look like. In a bid to sway me into the accord ( and to get hold of my mint civic ctdi) the dealership offered to bring the accord up to my standards- big mistake it cost them around £ 700 to do it! There was a number of minor scratches around the car which I wasn't happy with and a voile of marks on the wheels. They got rid of the majority for me . The problem is to do a couple on the doors they resorted to spraying them which was a bad thing. After at least two attempts the body shop got near to matching the original colour but admitted that it was the closest they could get. As someone who used to spray a lot of cars many years ago I can still see the difference but most people haven't noticed the shade difference. I can live with it. Fortunately silver accords change their colour dependant upon light conditions and shade, sometimes it looks perfect!!
Knowing me I will get itchy feet again in a couple of years I will change again and if pennies permit to a new one.
Regards mike

Beautiful looking motor!

The 8th gen is a very smart looking Accord can see myself upgrading to that in a few years time, shame you can't put in the garage can't you extend the garage so it can fit??

Unfortunately the garage is next to my neighbours house and is integral to the house so I can't extend it. I've looked at building one on the other side of the house where there is room to build one big enough but regulations state that there must be a certain length in front of the garage. Being on a corner plot the path reduces as it goes around the corner so this is not possible. Perhaps my neighbour will let me knock his house down and build a decent size garage?????
Why do they build garages to fit Austin 7 cars?
I am considering buying a car cover but there is always a risk of scratching the car.

Can highly recommend a Sonus glaze if your looking for winter protection. I do mine once a year and top it off with a coat of Swissol wax if I'm wanting extra deep shine but not necessary. Always comes up spot on with high water beading.

Not used any of the above but I use Collinite #915 which lasts 3-6 months if the paint work is properly prepared.

I haven't heard of Sonus glaze , swissol or collinite I have always use auto glym products or more latterly meguiars products which I find amazing. Would you say they are better than these? Also where do you get theses products from?
Regards mike c

I bought mine from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Collinite-915-Wax-Detailing-Kit-Special-Offer-/290612388153?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item43a9d92139

Autoglym wax is supposed to be good but I prefer the collinite over it as it much easier to apply and I find it give more gloss.

Just try it for yourself.

Thanks for this I must try some- trouble is I need some decent weather to do the job!!
