Mystery loud beep ?

I had a strange happening the other day. I started the car up as per usual, drove probably half a mile down the road and then I had a VERY loud single beep come from somewhere behind the dash........maybe 10 seconds later another VERY LOUD beep.....no warning lights on the dash whatsoever and it deffo wasn't the seatbelt alarm.

I pulled over, turned the car off and back on again and it's never manifested itself since.

Any ideas guys?

wasn't a beep beep...........it was a beep!
 
Just had a thought was it a bleep of your Alarm going off ?

hmmmmmm, I switched on the radio in the mrs rover and I got a spanish radio station when I was tuned in to Radio 1............maybe the cars are Revolting!! :lol:

Nope, don't think so.

Very odd indeed, and I am pretty sure it won't happen again.....the only thought I had was maybe I turned the key too quickly when starting it up and the immobiliser was gonna kick in or something...no lights though, and I guess it wouldn't have even started.
 
Another thing it could have been your handbrake slightly on.If i remember this made a bleep in the 7th gen the 8th gen now tells you this from a women :lol:
 
Was it the speed warning thingy at 30mph and 70mph? Not sure how you would have set it without knowing and then turned it off again though!
 
the speed one usually shows on the screen as well. quite strange if it was none of them
