Hey guys I need some help.......

I have a 2000 6th gen Accord and my nearside rear wheel bearing is worn out and I want to replace it. I actually want to do this myself and would like to know how to go on about it since it appears to be kinda straight forward. Any help appreciated. Thanks

PS: Can the bearing be pressed out or it's a case of changing the whole hub?

According to this:

It seems you have to replace the entire hub ***embly, still, I bet you will find cheaper parts...

EDIT: According to the repair manual, it's quite easy to replace it. Just remove the spindle nut, then the brake disk, and the then the hub should came out. If you do the job yourself, take some pictures and make an How-To B)

As Pedro said if its the same as the 7th & 8TH gen its the hole hub that needs replacing.

Thanks for that information. I called around for quotes and the part comes as a hub. I have the repair manual finally and after alot of searching I found the bit on how to change the rear wheel bearing. Seems straight forward. However am a little confused about the size of the spindle nut. The manual states it's 22 x 1.5mm. Don't know what this means or what size socket it fits. :) any help??

I guess that's the size of the thread.

According to this, you should get a 32mm socket B)

Found this vid in my Youtube subscriptions from briansmobile1 which could be a close enough howto - but he can't remember the socket size lol. Briansmobile1 and EricTheCarGuy are very worth subscribing to ;)

or is this the size of the required socket..

Looking to have it done tomorrow or if not, some other time. I will try and take pics while I do it and post them up. Someone is bound to find it very useful. :)

^^^Thanks for that dude. Any How To is gratfully received on here, and ALWAYS welcomed.

Good luck with the change dude.
