I recently got a set of wheels for free. I used to refurb wheels and decided to refurb them and sell them but a realy think they would look good on the accord. There multifit 4x100 4x108 and I know they don't fit but I've been looking at the other options I have including wobble nuts but wobble bolts would have been better if the hubs had bolt holes instead of lugs. Has any other accord owners done anything like this or other ways to get other pcd's to fit? All ideas welcome except for "sell them and get ones that fit" lol.
I personally wouldn't go for wobble bolts. I had them on my old 2.0 SE for the wheels that i loved, and one of them ended up causing the bolts to snap whilst i was doing 65 on the A14 overtaking a lorry. One of the scariest things that has ever happend to me!!!!
Right, just had a look and it look slike you can buy adapters to fit to your hubs via the bolts that then have a 4x114.3 set of bolts sticking out of them so you can fit the 4x114.3 wheels.
Yes. There are a few ways like elongating the holes and adaptors but it looks like the safest way would be to drill the hubs with a pcd of 100 and fit the lugs into the new holes then fit the wheel as normal. Did you drill that alloy? Look like a quarter of the hole was driller on a taper.
I could make the holes 3mm wider that would give me a total of 114 if I used the 108 patern but would need to move the taper aswell. The wheels are hubcentric so hole position isnt critical as the hub centres the wheel.
The alloy got re-drilled after it came off. That's all i know tbh. But when originally fitted it wasn't messed about with at all. Jjust fitted some spigots, then used these nuts i was recommended from the wheels suppliers and, well, you can see what happened.
