honda accord
Hi guys
I am new to the site, I joined because I am having a few problems with my accord (to my surprise.) Just wondering if anyone has any advice please
I drive a 2007 honda accord ex. The security system was activated last week by a passenger sitting in my car after I left the vehicle (as you know the car locks automatically. The same day the alarm was sounding when I was driving, it stopped that night and I thought no more about it. I then went on holiday for a week. On my return I found that the key fob would not activate the doors and the vehicle would not stop, I therefore charged the battery.
Now the car does start, but the alarm continues to sound and the key fob also does not still work. I have changed the battery in the key fob, but other than this I am out of options.
Has anyone encountered this before? If so do you please have a solution? I rely on my car for work as a community nurse and I am getting a little desperate now for my shift in the morning.
To add I have had to leave the -ve cable unattached to stop the noise.
Hope you can ***ist
Kind regards

Usually caused by a low car battery, get your battery and alternator tested.

Welcome along Amanda,

I've put an answer to you problem in your other post and agree with Salim about the battery. There is also a link on how to re-code the key fob which you will probably need to do.

Hope you get it sorted for your shift.

As the guys said probably there is a duff cell in your battery.
Also your key needs recoding there is a DIY Here how to do this.
