NEW EXHAUST FRONT SECTION

Hi to all..

Just had a new section exhaust fitted - front section with flexi.

Collected from fitters and upon taking up the road getting a high pitched noise from underneath so took straight back for a look underneath.

back on ramp and noise coming from flexi, however no escape of gasses or leaks and exh all sound. it is a high pitched rasp from inside the flexi section?? goes up and down with the revs so obviously some interaction with the gasses and pipe somehow...

not an expensive section the veh 13 yrs old now..

###any others experienced this at all with pattern replacements.###

they have agreed to try another new part at the weekend and see if the part is at fault, maybe something inside..

What sort of replacement did you get? An oem part or an imitation?

Has the problem been resolved yet?

made a bit of a mistake with this one, took it back Sat to have a new/alternative pipe fitted and instead of stopping to watch them try a new pipe I got roped into a shopping trip with the missus, upon coming back for the car led outside with "it's exactly the same sir" "must need to soot up a bit"...doh! I only have their word they changed it. Still exactly the same..

Not going to go spending more though not on a 13 year old car...

oem part of course..
