Hi All,,

Bought my Accord 3 days ago and really enjoying the 130 mile round trip commute to work now,,, very very comfy and refined compared to my FabiaVrs. MPG not bad either , looks like im going to get over 500 to my first tank which I can live with.

After looking around the forum it appears I have 2 of the most common faults as well,,,, drivers side headlight unit is pretty much turning into a swimming pool !! Ive taken the weather guard off the main beam and im going to leave it off for a couple of days to try and dry the unit out, then ,,,,,, any suggestions ? Ive also got fog lights that dont work,, am I right in thinkin its normally the relay ? Is there a way to tell its the relay unit by just looking at it ?

All in all nothing serious really and Im looking forward to years of comfy refined trouble free motoring after losing a small fortune on previous garage loving cars

welcome along Simon

Ther is a recall on this subject, it involves fitting clips, had this been done on yours?

Yes mate, clips are on the units. It really is quite bad , not mist , more like a waterfall ! The car has a gap in service history so dont think its worth going back to that dealer ??

Thinking about removing the unit tomorow and trying to find the leak

Simon have a look at the link. The water in the lights could be the cause of your fog light relay as well.
