Hey all
I just bought a 2.0 SE Exec, with the BOSE CD stereo. I've been looking to see if I have a CD changer anywhere, but can't see anything. I read the usual place is in the boot. Is it in the open, or hidden?
If I don't have one, I reckon I'll get one.

It should be visible as Honda don't really have a reason to hide it :)
Also isn't it more convinient to use the in dash CD slot even though it's one CD because it's easier to reach if you want to change CD's whilst driving

Multi-changers on the 6th gen are in the boot on the left hand side. You can see them as soon as you open the boot.

I think i know someone who's selling one actually.

I'll give him a call tomorrow and find out.

Sorry if im jumping in here (if its wrong please say) i have a coupe version of the above , how can i identify the audio as bose of otherwise and does anyone know a list of compatable changers , although i must confess i can see the using of my iphone and android via parrots mki9200 more .

It will have Bose written on the front of the stereo and there will be a speaker grille in the boot with a Bose badge on it.

TDK is a specialist speaker munfacture who normally make portable speaker systems with advanced speaker feedback and very clever amps that ajust the sound automaticaly. B)

but i didnt no they make stuff for cars

Looking at pictures of people selling Coupe's online, the original tape cassette headunit was a BOSE. I've just been out for a look and I too have the two little TDK boxes in the boot between the speakers. I can't see any BOSE labels though. I can see that my rear speakers say Mexico on them though!

Are those two little TDK boxes anplifiers then - one for each rear speaker? Sorry - I know nothing about stereos - and sorry for thread hijack! My admittedly untrained ears do find the stereo in my Coupe superb - I think there are 6 speakers - the rears seem to provide plenty of bass (way more than stereo in CMax), there are two "normal" speakers (one in each door) and a tweeter in the dash by the A pillar.

i would geuss the boxes are ether cross-overs or amps and will prob have some kinda feedback system on them :D

Hi there - might I just add my 2 cents? - Not particularly in this instance only but for others who might find this discussion through a search in time to come etc.

- I bought a 2000 SE Exec a few years back, the BOSE head unit might be thrown in the back of my attic somewhere or else it was binned.

In its place I have a Sony head unit I bought from Argos for something like £120 that will happily play 10-12 albums burnt as MP3s onto a single CD.

It also a front USB socket which will happily play hundreds of albums from a USB Key (Flash Memory)

- It will also play (potentially) thousands of albums (even shuffle/random across all of these) from a USB powered HD stored anywhere in he car with a USB lead hooked up to socket.

It has two RCA inputs to the rear to which I have hooked up an RCA to 3.5mm audio Cable (Maplins ~£6) which will play any MP3 player or iPhone/iTouch through the AUX source on the Sony head unit.

I think it would be utter madness to go paying for a CD changer unit from ten years back thats not going to be nice to use and will only break your heart......

Remember also that you are still using the Bose speakers which are fine.

I accept that opinions will vary etc - But I suggest the above as a real, affordable and and superior alternative my friends!!!!

P.S. The space left once the old stereos is removed is very open to accepting the standard sized car stereo 'cage' - If I remember correctly I just had to bend the flexible metal struts to anchor mine and the stereo slotted right in.

P.P.S. - Sorry just thought after I posted the above - Didn't mean to mess up a sale for anyone - The advice above is given with good intentions and is valid for this individual or anyone else in same boat!!!

Ahhh seems I need to make just a few more posts then . Ice im correct. Them for sale is unlocked at post eleven

Raiser . Thank you for your input . Dont worry it has had no impact on any potential sale .
The CD changer would likely be only ventured into at the right price considering my parrot mki9200 can't accommodate most of my audio needs however on the rare occassions my other half uses the car (god forbid) she is very non technical and much prefers the good old fashion cd changer.

P.P.S.--- bit of an understatement!!

You could burn 10/12 albums onto each of 6cd's giving you 60/72 albums loaded into the changer and the changer fits very nicely into the glove box so in about 1/2 hour your up and running with three audio sources for 20% of the price of an Argos Sony.
