hi first time jap owner i have a 55 plate 2.2 cdti 157k executive estate with a few issues any help would greatly received heres the list :
fault code p1237 i know this relates to the egr valve i have had the egr off and the throttle body and the other bits off for cleaning as they were caked in the usual oil and soot paste on the throttle body and intake parts and tried to get into the inlet manifold as much as possible but have the same issue as before and after cleaning hitting 2 2.5k and it feeling strangled and some times puts it into limp home mode but drive under this it thunders along nicely without issue cruise the motorway no problems my issue is are the egr valves easy to strip clean and rebuild if not is there anywhere that do reconditioned ones at reasonable prices ?
minor i know but the gps clock isnt responding its showing the time just not the correct time and the dual climate temperature on the same screen isnt showing up the dual climate seems to work fine just cant tell what temp is and the sat nav dvd disc is completely balls on it is there anyone that does cheap replacements other than that lot she's a bonny motor black with black leather
cheers for looking

Hi Daniel, its possible your car has a knackered EGR and blocked inlet at this mileage but the P1237 error is down to low boost. In my experience the most likely cause is clogged up vanes (probably due to a badly blocked inlet throwing soot back into the turbo).

Rather than waste money on an egr, consider a permanent solution by blanking the EGR and remapping. I do this regularly on these cars - drop me a line for pricing.

Cheers for the info getting a can of egr cleaner put through it and go from there I have cleaned as much of the lnlet as possible I'll message you on the tune price cheers
