got a 2005 tdci accord which has developed a fault on low revs pulling away its flat till it hits 2.25 rpm
then it goes like stink , cleaned egr valve , not really that dirty ? how do i check to see if it is working ? thanks in advance

Most the guys on here will say make sure it has a genuine Honda fuel filter before you start looking at more expensive fixes. That's always a good place to start as some cheaper fuel filters can cause lag and even send it into limp mode.

It does sound like an EGR problem and it might still be sticking even if its not that dirty (Mine was). Have you got any error codes?

To test the valve, take off the EGR valve block and apply 12 volts to across the two pins. I can't remember which pins are used but if you look at the electrical connector you'll see there's only two pins actually wired up. If it hasn't seized you'll see the valve change position. There is a video of someone doing on the interweb this if you do a search on google.

Mine seemed to have some gunk stuck behind the valve which is probably what was causing it to stick. I freed it up a couple of times but it needed blanking off and mapping out in the end to make the problems go away permanently.

Egr valve almost definitely.

Do ensure you have a genuine fuel
Filter from honda also please.

If you want a price on EGR removal and tuning drop me a line

sorted .......F6HAD from premier tuning came down today had an egr blank and a stage 2 remap ......wow goes like the proverbial off a shovel . highly recommend the service nice guy......did a full scan showed me the engine diagnostic report etc
can get round to sorting the rest of the car now

My pleasure Paul!!

Really nice to meet you too. I wish I could have seen your old NSX but that prelude must be the cleanest motegi in the country and at such low miles it needs to be kept factory fresh as it is now..
