Odd noise with clutch pressed on and off

Hi, when I press my clutch down the diesel sort of rattle is quite apparent and then when my foot isn't pressed engine is quiet?? Is this a clutch issue or a normal thing? Runs mint, starts mint the lot. Cheers

Sounds like your clutch release bearing is probably on its way out.

Hmmmm doesn't sound like a release bearing noise though, clutch is otherwise fine.

I have similar problem and I think it's not release bearing. When the clutch is fully pressed no sound everything as normal, when I am releasing the clutch at the end I hear some "spinning" noise just at very end or clutch release and it could be heard just at 1- maybe 2 gear. other then this sound clutch is working ok, gripping as it should.

What could be the problem?

Neil sounds like release bearing to me too - I have the same thing like a white noise when clutch is pressed. Clutch works fine though.

J yours is the opposite; noise when releasing the clutch? Could it just be the turbo variable vane noise? It is a very strange noise which has worried many diesel Accord owners in the past.

Have you checked all your nuts are tight in the pedal ***embly?

It's like enhanced engine running noise when I press the clutch on

update today. clutch reservoir was almost empty today, refilled. noise gone. Fingers crossed.

Will change clutch fluid and gearbox oil soon.

My fluid is canny dirty like. Maybe it could help changing it. Mmmm
