Oil filter housing removal

What size of removal tool is suitable for the 2.2 diesel oil filter cap removal? Most on ebay seem to be 65mm or 74mm

Wrap a rag round it and any strap filter tool will do.

76mm, can't remember how many flutes it has though. 22 seems to spring to mind but that's no guarantee!

76mm x 14 flats. Fits 7th & 8th gen diesel.

Yes this is what I was doing but it was dead tight and I ended up marking the housing - its minor enough but Id prefer a proper removal tool to prevent this happening
