Hi was giving my car an oil and filter change today and when i took the old filter out i noticed the spline on the filter housing was broke i have found the part no on lings honda but was wandering if it was cheaper else where,

part no PFKL314266

Thanks

Honda lings are very pricey give Honda holdcroft a ring

That is a Lings specific part number bud... But HH should be able to sort you out from a description and your reg number...

Hi thanks for the advice phoned up local honda same price as lings , so googled holdcroft got the stoke branch is that the one the club deals with any way they are doing it £6 CHEAPER so ordered it from them .

also when i took the oil filter out could not see the washers on the filter like i have with the new one last one fitted at national tyres decided to give it a go my self now

Do you mean the O-rings were missing? I might be wrong but means the oil didn't actually get filtered!?!?!?!

yes thats right the o rings ive looked at the diagram on lings and looks like u put them on the spline then put the filter on top but if anyoone got a better diagram never used these type of filters before , always had the metal kind on my other caars but got to give honda credit better location then fords for filters lol

what total idiots i expect they didn't no what the 3 oil rings were for

The lings diagram is probably as good as it gets - when you have one in your hand it is pretty self explanatory really...

I wish I could say this is shocking or unbelievable... but I just can't I'm afraid.

Yer thanks guys for all the help ordered the part from holdcroft , came with new air fillter and o rings allready attached so i no where they go next time

thanks again
