Having full service done on both my tourers on Wednesday am i right in thinking the quantity's for oil and fluids are as follows

7th Gen i-CTDI oil ow-30 5.9ltrs 2.2lts MTF-3 and 500ml dot4 brake fluid.

8th Gen i-DTEC oil ow-30 5.5lts 2.2lts MTF-3 and 500ml dot4 brake fluid

Do i need anything more for clutch fluid change or does that come under brake fluid cheers

I changed both the brake and clutch fluid with just 1 litre of fluid but brought 2 litres just incase.

Dave have a look hear for your 8th gen
http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/7680-8th-gen-engine-capacities/

Also your 7th gen is 5.9L for a i-ctdi 0w-30
Don't forget the engine oil in a i-DTEC is different to your 7th gen because of the DPF.

What oil for I-DTEC HH told me its the same oil ow-30 and have delivered it now?????

Where did you come up with that info? It's the same grade of oil used in both engines ;)

The same grade but differant oil because of the DPF
Check it out as if you put normal Ow-30 in the i-dtec you can kiss your DPF good buy lol

I'm aware that Honda only sells one type of 0w30 and they don't specify a different oil for the i-dtec, strange one that

None of the links say a different grade, although the last link says diesel oil - 0w30 fully synth ACEA C2/C3

There is an additive in the oil I believe to ***ist the DPF.
I will do some digging but if you look in our dealers section under lube tech there're is a different oil type for the i-dtec

The oil needed for cars with DPF has low sapps content.

Your right Cliff apart from the I-CTDI does not have DPF the old engine oil for the I-CTDI was HFE-C2 ow-30 but now all the engine oil from Honda is New generation diesel engine oil ow-30 which is suitable for DPF luckily for me you posted cliff . As i had old 4ltr HFE-C2 which i had put with all I-DTEC service parts many thanks mate
